Welcome to the Maverick Help Center. Everything you need to get the most out of your edge AI agent is right here. Because Maverick processes all AI locally on-device — no cloud, no subscriptions, and no data leaving your home — we've designed this guide to help you through every step, from unboxing to advanced configuration. Browse the categories below or use the search bar to find exactly what you need. Our support team is also always ready to help if you can't find the answer you're looking for.
Getting Started
Setting up your Maverick is designed to be as simple as powering it on and following the on-screen prompts. Whether you're a seasoned technologist or someone who just wants AI that works out of the box, our guided setup walks you through every step. This section covers everything from the moment you unbox your device to having a fully operational local AI agent running in your home.
- Unboxing and physical setup
- First boot and initial configuration wizard

Using Your Maverick
Once your Maverick is set up, the real magic begins. Your device runs AI agents entirely on-device, meaning every response, every automation, and every smart home command is processed locally using the built-in SoC and neural engine. There's nothing to connect to the cloud and nothing to subscribe to. This section covers day-to-day usage, from running your first agent to fine-tuning privacy controls.
- Running and switching between AI agents
- Managing and downloading local AI models
- Configuring the hardware privacy switch
- Using the multi-touch console display
- Voice commands and wake word customization
- Setting up routines and automations
- Monitoring device performance and storage
Smart Home Integration
Maverick is built to be the brain of your smart home. With native support for Matter and Thread, along with compatibility for all major platforms, your Maverick can control lights, thermostats, locks, cameras, and more — all processed locally without sending your home data to any cloud service. This section explains how to connect Maverick to your existing smart home ecosystem or build a new one from scratch.
- Setting up Apple HomeKit integration
- Connecting to Google Home
- Configuring Amazon Alexa compatibility
- Adding Thread and Matter-enabled devices
- Creating rooms and zones in your smart home
- Building automated scenes and triggers
- Troubleshooting device discovery and connectivity
Troubleshooting
We engineered Maverick to be reliable and self-sufficient, but occasionally you may run into an issue. Most common problems can be resolved in a few minutes with the guides below. Because Maverick doesn't depend on cloud connectivity for core functionality, many issues that would plague cloud-dependent devices simply don't apply here. If you don't find your answer below, our support team is just a message away.
- Device won't turn on or won't boot past the logo
- Wi-Fi connection drops or won't connect
- Bluetooth pairing failures
- Slow performance or unresponsive touch console
- Unusual fan noise or overheating
- AI models not loading or crashing mid-inference
- Smart home devices not responding to Maverick commands
- Performing a factory reset
Software & Updates
Maverick receives over-the-air (OTA) updates that bring new features, performance improvements, model updates, and security patches directly to your device. Updates are downloaded in the background and installed at your convenience. Because Maverick runs everything locally, updates are designed to be seamless and non-disruptive. This section also covers advanced topics for developers who want to get under the hood.
- Checking for and installing OTA software updates
- Downloading new AI models from the on-device model store
- Managing storage space for multiple models
- Enabling SSH access for advanced configuration
- Activating Developer Mode and sideloading custom models
- Understanding the Maverick SDK and API documentation
- Rolling back to a previous software version
