Community

Welcome

The Maverick community is a vibrant, growing group of AI enthusiasts, developers, privacy advocates, and smart home tinkerers who believe that intelligence should live on your desk — not in a data center thousands of miles away. Whether you're a seasoned machine learning engineer or someone who just unboxed their first Maverick, there's a place for you here.

Our community is the backbone of the Maverick ecosystem. Members share custom agents, fine-tuned models, automation recipes, and troubleshooting tips every single day. We believe the best products are built in the open, and every voice in our community helps shape the future of edge AI.

Discord Server

Our Discord server is the heart of the Maverick community, with over 15,000 members and counting. It's the fastest way to get help, share your projects, and connect with the Maverick team directly. Jump in anytime — there's always someone around to help.

Here's a breakdown of our most popular channels:

  • #general — Casual conversation, product news, and community announcements for everyone.
  • #help — Get troubleshooting assistance from experienced community members and Maverick support staff.
  • #agents — Share, discuss, and collaborate on custom AI agents and agent workflows.
  • #models — Browse, share, and discuss AI models, including performance benchmarks and optimization tips.

GitHub

Maverick's core software is open-source, and our GitHub organization is where the magic happens behind the scenes. You can explore the firmware source code, contribute to agent frameworks, browse community-submitted models, and file bug reports. We actively review and merge community pull requests, and our contributor guidelines make it easy to get started regardless of your experience level.

The GitHub model library is one of our most popular resources. It contains hundreds of community-optimized models spanning language, vision, audio, and multimodal tasks — all tested and verified to run on Maverick hardware. Whether you're looking for a lightweight chat model or a high-fidelity image generator, the library has you covered.

Forums

For longer-form discussions, tutorials, and knowledge base articles, the Maverick Forums offer a structured, searchable archive of community knowledge. Popular categories include setup guides, model comparison threads, automation blueprints, and hardware discussions. The forums are indexed by search engines, making them an invaluable resource for anyone researching edge AI solutions or troubleshooting a specific issue.

Community Guidelines

We're committed to maintaining a welcoming, respectful, and productive environment for all community members. Our guidelines are straightforward:

  1. Be respectful — Treat every member with courtesy. Disagreements are fine; personal attacks are not.
  2. Stay on topic — Keep conversations relevant to the channel or thread you're in.
  3. Share knowledge generously — If you solve a problem, share the solution so others can benefit.
  4. No spam or self-promotion — Unsolicited advertising and repeated self-promotion will result in removal.
  5. Respect privacy — Never share another user's personal information, device data, or network details without consent.

Violations of these guidelines are reviewed by our moderation team, and repeated offenses may result in temporary or permanent removal from community spaces.

Events

The Maverick community hosts regular events both online and in person. Our monthly "Agent Jam" is a virtual hackathon where builders compete to create the most innovative agent in 48 hours, with prizes awarded for creativity, performance, and community impact. We also run quarterly AMA sessions with the Maverick engineering team, giving you direct access to the people building the product.

For those who prefer in-person gatherings, our annual Maverick Summit brings together community members, developers, and partners for two days of talks, workshops, and hands-on demos. Past summits have featured keynotes from privacy advocates, demos of unreleased hardware, and collaborative coding sessions that produced some of the community's most popular open-source projects.
